Project Description

Construction is underway on the Napa-Vallejo Waste Management Authority Construction & Demolition (C&D) Facility project at the Devlin Road Transfer Station in American Canyon, California. Operated by Devlin Road Transfer Station, the facility processes construction and demolition debris while recovering recyclable materials for reuse.
The project centers around a new 130,275-square-foot pre-engineered metal building that will move the current debris sorting and recovery operations from outdoors to indoors. This improvement will enhance employee and customer safety, help control dust and odors, improve stormwater runoff quality, and increase the recovery and quality of recyclable materials.
The project also includes a new 8,451-square-foot administration building to support facility operations.
Sustainability continues to be a major focus of the project, with much of the aggregate base rock being sourced directly from recycled materials processed at the transfer station itself.
The overall site spans approximately 15 acres, with much of the southern portion currently being used for stockpiling owner-provided materials and project spoils during construction. Work is being completed under a 19-month contract duration while maintaining ongoing operations at the active facility.
This project reflects the Napa-Vallejo Waste Management Authority’s continued investment in safer, more efficient, and environmentally responsible waste recovery operations.
