Mike Pahland

Project Manager

Mike Pahland is a Project Manager at Modern Building Company. Mike grew up in Chico. He graduated PVHS in 1991, pursuing academics, swimming, and where he began his love for building through woodshop. He received two All-Americans in swimming and was the recipient of the Lion Club of Chico Golden Hammer award for woodworking at PV in 1988 & 1991. Mike was accepted to the school of Engineering at UC San Diego where he continued pursuing his passion for Swimming. After achieving 3 All-Americans and 1 National Champion at UC San Diego, academics became the focus, and he transferred to Chico State to finalize his degree in Civil Engineering. Following graduation, Mike moved to Novato, CA, worked as a PM for two decades, gaining valuable experience in a variety of projects, with a heavy emphasis on public works/schools. Over his career, Mike has also had the opportunity to build reservoirs/water tanks, heavy civil/transportation, fire stations, office buildings/TI’s and his favorite build of all, swimming pools.

When Mike is not at work he can be found in the water or working on projects in his garage. Mike spends his off time with his wife Kolleen and son Matthew, enjoying the outdoors or typically on a tropical vacation to chase the family SCUBA diving passion.
