Project Manager

Heather Stevens is a Project Manager at Modern Building Company. With 15 years of experience in construction, Heather is a second-generation construction professional who brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven ability to lead teams and deliver results. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety from Sacramento State University, along with Associate’s Degrees in Natural Science, Biological Science, and Psychology from Sierra College. Heather also earned a Certificate in Winemaking and Enology from UC Davis, adding a unique touch to her professional expertise.

Heather’s career began early in the construction industry, where she worked in administration and estimating for a local contractor. During college, she spent several years gaining valuable experience in construction safety before transitioning into project management upon graduation. She then worked in both Hawaii and the Bay Area for 10 years, developing her expertise further before returning to the foothills to continue her career and give back to the community where she was born and raised. With certifications including OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid, she ensures the safety and efficiency of every project she manages.

Known for her proactive leadership and detail-oriented approach, Heather excels in managing complex projects while fostering collaboration and innovation within her team. She is passionate about making a positive impact on the projects she oversees and strives to give back to her community.

Outside of work, Heather enjoys cooking, wine tasting, interior design, photography, live music, music festivals, paddle boarding, camping, and indulging in fancy dinners with friends and family. She’s married to her high school sweetheart, and together they have one daughter who keeps them on their toes.
