Dan Thompson is a Superintendent at Modern Building Company with a lifelong passion for construction. He began his career at 13, assisting his uncle with rental properties in Portland, and later gained experience in home maintenance and landscaping during high school.

After launching his own business in his early twenties, Dan co-founded a custom home building company, and later an HVAC firm.  Through the course of his career, he has worked on various residential and commercial projects throughout Northern California.

Dan transitioned to construction supervision in 2003, managing significant school projects, including a $70 million high school in Lodi. He also oversaw numerous medical equipment installations in California hospitals.  His recent projects include work for Durham Unified School District, the Sleeping Giant Winery in Napa and the McManus Elementary School in Chico.

In his free time, Dan enjoys helping others with home repairs, archery hunting, and fishing, and he loves spending time with his wife and friends in Cancun or at the mountains and beaches.
